Get creative this Easter with 10 fun kids activities

Easter is a great time to get creative and have some family fun! There are so many fun activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. From egg hunts to craft projects, there's something for everyone.

Here are 10 ideas for Easter activities that will keep your kids entertained and engaged this holiday season:

1. Egg Hunt 

 Hide Plastic Eggs filled with treats around the house or garden and let the kids take turns searching for them. For younger children, make sure the eggs are in easy-to-spot places. For older kids, you can hide some harder-to-find eggs to up the challenge. 

2. Bunny ears 

 Cut out bunny ears from construction paper or cardstock and let your kids decorate them with markers, glitter, feathers or whatever else they can dream up. Once they’re finished, they can wear their creations all day long. 

3. Egg painting 

 Hard boil some eggs and set up a painting station where your kids can paint them however they like. You can also provide stickers, glitter glue and ribbons so they have plenty of materials to work with. 

4. Easter baking 

Bake Easter themed desserts such as carrot cake, bunny shaped cookies or Easter cupcakes. Don’t forget get the kids involved in measuring, mixing and decorating the treats. 

5. Easter basket making 

 Have your kids make their own Easter baskets using paper plates, construction paper or even fabric scraps. They'll love getting creative and putting together something special just in time for the big day. 

6. Paper plate chicks 

Cut out two paper plates into an oval shape and staple them together (with a bit of stuffing inside) to create a 3D chick shape. Add eyes, beaks and feet made from felt or construction paper and you’ve got yourself a cute little chick. 

7. Puzzle making 

Gather some old magazines lying around your house, cut out pictures of bunnies/chicks/flowers etc., then glue them onto pieces of cardboard cut into puzzle shapes (it doesn’t have to be perfect!) You could even laminate the puzzles once complete for added durability.  

8. Egg carton gardening 

Fill an old egg carton with dirt, plant some seeds in each cup and watch as your little ones tend to their very own mini garden! This activity is super easy yet so rewarding—you’ll be amazed at how quickly their plants grow.  

9. Scavenger hunt 

Create a scavenger hunt with clues leading to Easter-themed items such as a eggs, bunnies or baskets. A scavenger hunt is always a good way to get them outdoors while making it fun at the same time.  

10. Bunny hop relay race

Organise a bunny race where kids hop on one foot while holding a carrot or a small Easter egg to the finish line.
